The other day my neighbor/friend and I headed to the junkyard for some pieces to my Grand Prix, and an entire headlight assembly for his Volvo. I got a bunch of trim items to make my car look nicer. I also now despise Volvo headlight assemblies, specifically the removing part.
First up is the window trim, which the car wash kindly tore apart previously.
Before.
After.
I just swapped trim pieces, pretty easy actually.
Next up was replacing the dash vent. This was literally the easiest thing I had to do.
Obvious broken vent is broken.
It popped right off.
Old vent versus new.
New vent is new.
I accidentally busted the rear cupholder, so I got a new one. Only took me visiting 6 grand Prix’s to finally find one.
Are you enjoying the messes my child makes?
Not bad for a newbie!

What kind of Volvo does he have? The newer ones are so simple because you pull one pin and the whole thing comes out!

A 1st gen s80. To remove the fixture you had to remove the bumper. It took us a while to figure that out.

I’ve found those kind of details really help my car esteem.

This morning on the way to church, I repeatedly mentioned that I fixed the car. I'm so proud of myself!
